A Dhaka court today placed eleven drivers of battery-run rickshaws on two-day remand each for attacking police boxes in city's Mirpur and Pallabi areas on Friday (Oct 14).

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Nivana Khair Jessi passed the order as police produced the accused before the court and pleaded to place them on seven-day remand each.

Drivers of battery-run rickshaws attacked five traffic-police boxes in the capital's Mirpur and Pallabi yesterday.

Police personnel Mizanur Rahman was injured in the incident.

A case was filed with Pallabi Thana in this regard.
